The Faculty of Earth Sciences in the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, University of Iceland, seeks applicants to fill a tenure-track position of Associate Professor in glaciology. The Associate Professor is expected to carry out research in the field of glaciology, supervise graduate students and teach courses at undergraduate and graduate level in glaciology and related fields. Applicants should have a doctorate degree in glaciology or equivalent. Strong communication skills are essential assets.
This is a tenure-track position with an initial appointment of five years.
The evaluation of academic merits will be in accordance with Icelandic Law and Rules for the University of Iceland No. 569/2009.
