Post-doctoral position in snowphysics at the WSL  Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research, Davos, Switzerland

The research group Snowphysics of the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF investigates the physical properties of snow in its many forms experimentally and numerically and is looking for a Post-Doc  in Snowphysics. The research will be in different areas of snow physics. The focus will be on snow metamorphism and mechanical properties of snow. You will use and develop methods for time-lapse in-situ micro-tomography of snow, and develop new methods and models. The position is initially for one year, but can be prolonged to 3 years.

A PhD in Earth Science, Physics or a similar area, experience with field and/or laboratory work, ideally with snow is necessary. You are experimentally skilled, experience with scientific publications and very good knowledge of english.
