The Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences at Iowa State University seeks a full-time postdoctoral researcher to conduct experiments with a laboratory device that allows study of glacier sliding over a rigid or deformable bed. Training in glaciology or a related field and experience with electromechanical devices and data acquisition are required. Experience with fluid modeling or LabVIEW is desirable. The successful applicant will teach one course per year as part of the post-doctoral mentoring program.
