The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), require a temporary assistant to provide laboratory technical support to help cover increase in demands for Science Facilities support staff during peak work load months.

In addition, will be required to assist Science Facilities’ Laboratory Suite Managers from across BAS with their basic laboratory procedures and general housekeeping duties. Once trained, the post-holder will help to provide essential facility cover for sickness and annual leave.

Qualifications: Educated to O level standard or equivalent.

Duration: 26 weeks at 3 days per week

Salary: Salary will be £18,410 per annum pro rata. We offer a generous benefits package including a pension scheme, free car parking, flexible working hours and 30 days annual leave per annum, pro rata.
