The Cryospheric Sciences Branch at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, is soliciting applications of interest for a full time PhD level civil servant scientist.

Scientists with expertise that expand the branch's existing strengths in sea ice research and possess the leadership skills to define and promote the next generation of sea ice science are sought. This position offers all the benefits of career civil service. The successful candidate is expected to conduct a rigorous program in the observation and analysis of the Earth's ice covered oceans and their role in the global climate.  A PhD or equivalent experience is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications at the GS-12-15 levels ($74,872-$155,500 per year).
