Graduate School of Life & Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, seeks for a foreign faculty member (associate/assistant professor) to enhance its globalization.
The University of Tsukuba was selected as one of the implementing institutions of the Project for Establishing Core Universities for Internationalization (Global 30) initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.
A position is available as a 4-year Associate/Assistant professor for undergraduate courses at the college of Geoscience. This position is administered at the college of Geoscience (http://earth.tsukuba.ac.jp/index-e.html) and teaches on the teaching program (including General Geoscience, Environments and People in the World, Geoenvironmental Sciences, Seminar on Geoscience, Graduation Research) over School of Life & Environmental Sciences. Also some teaching service to university-wide undergraduate and graduate classes is included.
Qualifications
1. Competitive in teaching in English. Native English speakers are encouraged to apply.
2. Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent with relevant professional record accordingly in biology, geoscience, environmental science and/or science communication.
3. Relevant record in teaching, research and/or industry experiences.
4. Field research experiences are appreciated.
5. Ability in working Japanese language is additional merits.
6. Further merit recognized with working ability on UN official languages other than English.
