Ocean/Ice Modeller - BAS Cambridge
£26,180 - £29,410 pa
You will be developing a high resolution model of circulation beneath Pine Island glacier. This means producing a grid of seabed and ice base topography, improving the parameterisation of mixing and melting, validating the model against water column properties and using it to derive and study melt rates.
With a relevant PhD or equivalent, plus experience in the numerical solution of partial differential equations, you must have a history of developing and running numerical models of ocean circulation.
