Two positions as postdoctoral researchers (1½ – 2 years) and a PhD scholarship (3 years) are available at the Centre of Excellence for Ice and Climate at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The postdoctoral positions are within the topics of (1) ice core related climate research based on ice core impurity analysis and (2) ice core based palaeo-accumulation reconstruction and interpretation. The PhD scholarship is offered within the topics of either carbon cycle modelling or ice sheet modelling.
Centre for Ice and Climate has a strong record of climate research based on drilling and analysis of ice cores. The group has been actively involved in most deep ice core drilling projects in Greenland and several projects in Antarctica. In collaboration with a broad international network, the group is involved in a variety of climate research projects and ice core analysis campaigns with the objective of understanding the governing processes of past and future climate.
