The Influence of Basal Hydrology on Glacier Sliding and Erosion

This NSF-funded project is focussed on developing predictive models of subglacial hydrological networks and their effects on the dynamics of glacier flow and sediment transport. A PhD student is needed to contribute towards the modeling efforts and conduct complimentary laboratory experiments. The ideal candidate will have a strong undergraduate and/or masters level background in the geosciences, physics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline.
